Don't get me started on the tailgating subject. Property taxes could be
replaced by fines overnight if the cops used their rolling cash registers to
ticket tailgaters.

I'm of the opinion that every *single* who so much as touches the
bumper of the leading car in one of those pileups should get an 8
point reckless driving ticket. Get two and lose the driving
privileges for 7 years.

However, that would require the return of the concept of personal
responsibility.

There's people who thrive in that jungle, and there's people who die
in that jungle, and there's people who simply survive in that jungle.
Some fall due to bad luck (hey, globalization is tough), some due to
illness, and there's no nothing you can do but it but to expect the
"miracle" of medical care. Perhaps they die and get it over with,
while the vast majority barely survives fearing illness or lay off.

That's life in the jungle, but in the end we all die, even the
vultures that most benefit from it.

Living inside or outside has both advantages and disadvantages. I'd
feel like a prisoner inside the walls, seeing always the same people.
But we sure have to tame the outside.

I'm all for breaking the walls like the Berlin Wall.

Personal responsibility does not mean "blaming everyone involved". In
particular, you've failed to take into account

1) People who were cut off just before the car in front of them braked
and
2) People who would have been able to stop in time if they hadn't been
literally pushed into the car in front.
