They are probably more common in SF than anywhere but very rare in
decent shape. It's very unlikely a dealer would have one.

I think I won't bother putting a new engine in since it runs alright, it
really would be a luxury to run a tad smoother with perhaps 5 mpg better
performance & it seems it should be alright for another 70k miles.
Unless the price is reasonable or the manifold gasket repair means
dropping the engine.

Ouch! Although both cases mentioned showed symptoms of shimmying or pulling.

Unlikely to be any better for a 20 year old car. 3 years isn't much, I
want at least 10 more years :-)

No search results, tried to request a quote but I don't know the answers
to all required* questions:
Current Engine Size (Liters or Cubic Inches)*
VIN* (and my mother's maiden name? gimme a break!)
Smog Pump With Smog Pump Without Smog Pump
Cam Type* Overhead Standard
Does it have a balance shaft? Yes No
Lifter Type* Flat Roller

I have to give my email just to check availability? hmmm, well OK...
nope. I should have given a false email. Damn.

I'll try telephoning.

There's a super-duty marine epoxy called Belzona.
It's like JB Weld on steroids!
