From: john on 4 Mar 2010 01:31 Yeah, it's probably in the electronics. Mats and sticking pedals account for only 30% of the runaways. As I understand from the hearings, CTS pedals accounted for 0 fatality (all fatalities on Denso pedals). "About ten Toyota owners have complained to U.S. auto safety regulators that their vehicles suffered some kind of sudden acceleration after being repaired under Toyotas two recalls for the problem. The complaints highlighted by safety advocate Sean Kane drew a quick response today from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which said it would investigate." http://www.freep.com/article/20100303/BUSINESS01/100303045/1331/business01/Officials-Drivers-report-trouble-with-fixed-Toyotas
From: Uncle_vito on 4 Mar 2010 07:46 This is mass hysteria. Bet there is nothing wrong with the vehicles. These folks want publicity or money or they are mistaking the cruise control acceleration for sudden acceleration. Some folks in the general public are just weird and the media eat it up. What suckers. Vito "john" <johngdole(a)hotmail.com> wrote in message news:6f781f64-43d5-4e52-851e-eabf450764eb(a)f17g2000prh.googlegroups.com... Yeah, it's probably in the electronics. Hysteria? People needing money? The Founder of Apple Computer Steve Wozniak has a new prius he said he can self replicate himself, the cars cruise control Self Acceleration, often with high percentage of attempts. He was on tv, he said he was ignored by toyota and the NHTSA, Wozniak says its Software, I believe the genius. Wozniak needs no money, he said his old prius fleet is fine, he could afford to own 1000+ Rolls Royces each with its own full time chauffeur with house. He needs no publicity, wants nothing, and has the brains you could only wish you were blessed with just 10% of. Do yourself a favor, read a bit more. The stories I hear are Not of people having an accident claim or any claim, just scary incidents of a defect that is not fixed. Proof of Toyota cheapyness, underhandedness is they fixed new production Priuses and ignored whats on the road, that is Beancounter scum mentality to save a buk. And you really believe Toyoda when he said he didnt know about the memos of Toyota saving millions by beating the NHTSA. Your either a dumb sucker or toyota rep, im a toyota owner.
