From: Jane Galt on 1 Apr 2010 18:06 I went to Costco today for new tires for the 2002 Corolla and they sold me a different size. Said they were a little bigger or something? P185 /65R14 Is this the right size for the car though? I told the guy that I didn't want it scraping the wheel wells and he said they wont. -- Jane Galt "There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism - by vote. From: ED on 1 Apr 2010 18:42 2002 Corolla S = 185/65-14 2002 Corolla LE = 185/65-14 2002 Corolla CE = 175/65-14 For safety and handling purposes, all 4 tires should be the same size. From: Jeff Strickland on 1 Apr 2010 19:52 Those tires are fine for that car. There is a placard on the driver's door frame, or inside the glovebox door, that lists the tires for that car. The 185/65 is an upgrade from the stock tire. The tires they sold you should make the speedometer accuracy much tighter than it was before -- formerly if the speedo read 70 you were doing closer to 65 (maybe under), now when the speedo reads 70 you'll actually be doing 68 or 69. From: ron on 1 Apr 2010 20:12 The speedometer on my 08 Highlander was fairly close - I had to do new tires a little over a year ago (lot of miles in first two years, got it in July of 07) anyhow could not get exact factory size - had to go to skosh bigger and it decreased the rev's/ mile by 7 - enough to make speedometer and odometer nearly dead on.

Thanks. Got the right ones, it seems. We have the LE. -- Jane Galt "There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism - by vote.
