Medicaid Paid for Treating Dead

Culver City CA – March 15, 2010:

Insurance Fraud and Insurance Claims Expert, Barry Zalma, reports that
when a state audit – covering only some records – discovered that
Medicaid had paid for services to 287 dead patients. Nassau County,
New York District Attorney Kathleen Rice complained, on March 8, 2010,
that state policies are impeding local prosecution of Medicaid fraud
and even making it easier for scammers to apply for benefits. Rice
complained that state health officials are blocking access to Medicaid
records. This teaches all insurance professionals of the need to audit
medical services providers on a regular schedule.

“The only way to deal with insurance fraud is to take the profit out
of it.” Mr. Zalma, said. “When a clinic can bill – and collect – for
services to the dead who obviously did not need the services, and the
local prosecutor is not allowed to search records to prosecute the
criminals, the state is working for the criminals not the honest
people of the state.”

In the March 15, 2010 issue of Zalma’s Insurance Fraud Letter (ZIFL),
Mr. Zalma also reports on an arsonist with umitigated gall – chutzpah
– who after being convicted of arson-for-profit for burning down his
mother’s grocery store for the insurance money complained about the
sentence; what is necessary to protect recorded statements as
protected work product; and the failure of a life insurance fraud due
to a thorough investigation by the insurer. In addition ZIFL reports
on convictions of insurance fraud criminals who were too greedy to
avoid arrest and conviction.

They want to take over health care, and they can't even run what they
already have.

There is an underlying agenda here. Why the big almighty push?
