I will check with the dealership. Thanks. Dallas is covered by Gulf States Toyota, which is an independent distributor like Southeast Toyota. If your local dealer sells G-G Frigi-Fresh, spray that into the air intake under the passenger side of the dashboard. To reduce the likelihood of a re-occurrence, use the AC system on fresh instead of recirculate. -- Ray O (correct punctuation to reply) >

The air blast isn't as strong in the fresh mode with air coming in from the vents that are located just outside the front windshield. Also, when the air exchange selector in the '06 Camry LE is set to recycle (instead of fresh), from which internal vents is the air drawn in from? No mention is made in the manual. [Yes, I know I used 2 "from's" in the penultimate sentence, one "from" even ending the sentence. But it just sounds better.]

The air blast isn't as strong > in the fresh mode with air coming in from the vents that are located > just outside the front windshield. The blower motor works harder in fresh air mode due to the pressure differential between outside air (normal atmosphere) and inside air (slightly pressurized when fan is on, assuming doors closed and windows up). Lower strain on the blower in recirc mode = higher vent output velocity. Now that that has been said, the majority of this sensation is audible -- in recirc mode both pressure and suction sides of the blower motor vent to the interior which raises the volume. Ogg hear noise think wind more. > Also, when the air exchange selector in the '06 Camry LE is set to > recycle (instead of fresh), from which internal vents is the air drawn > in from? No mention is made in the manual. Just behind the glovebox, above the cabin filter. If you jam enough fastfood napkins in the glovebox, eventually one will get stuck to the cabin filter, or in the case of older cars, jammed in the blower cage. Toyota MDT in MO

That warms the coils and dries them before you shut it down. Having said that....do I turn off the air 5 minutes before I get to my driveway? Not often...LOL -- Scott in Florida

Fall is here and leaves would block the air passage below the wipers. The smell was actually from the rotten leaves. After a couple of car washes it went away. This is what happened to me. Is there a water passage or drain on the vents under the wipers to the condenser to the ground? same drain mentioned by Joe?
