A lot of areas in the Northeast are reporting record water levels, but it
is still not near the flood of 1936 that went from New England to the
middle Atlantic states.

Don't know, but lots of the records from the mid thirties are the highest on
record. The Governor of RI said the water level there are the highest
ever recorded, The storm was a 500 year storm event, according to Dr Joe
Stoble at Acuweather out of Penn State..

we'll have to se the aftermath. Some places are recording record levels,
but it doesn't appear to be as widespread as 1936.
