Maybe my reply was misunderstood? I was agreeing with the comparison you
made. I have no issue with these pricks being tortured, as I've said I'm
sure I will be accused of something agreeing to that point.

I was making a pre-emptive strike at those who would decry your supposed
departure from the Core Values.

Your core values are fine. The whiners are the ones that could stand to look
at their core values.

Yes, they are worse than us.

But I wish we were still as good as we used to be.

We definitely lost much of the 'moral high ground' we used to have.
Many people see it this way: you're a country that tortures, or
you're a country that doesn't torture.

We're a country that tortures.

Saying that we did it with the intentions of making ourselves safer,
or that we didn't do it that much, doesn't change the fact that we're
a country that tortures.
