The jobs will never come back. We don't manufacture anything. What
do we sell???? Freaking derivitives! We are toast, at the mercy of
idiots on Wall Street.

We have paper losses; you locked in your losses. Think a minute,
where do the rich people put their money?

Well, this is not *all* bad; Britain has been basically a
non-manufacturing economy for a long time.

However, unemployment has traditionally run ~ double to that of the US and
other manufacturing based economies. If you're not working in the
financial field, or supporting it, or using it to make money, you're in
deep...

We have to go international with investments. I'm starting to look
into annuities, mainly getting to know what's out there, the types and
options, and where there is safety, if it exists.
