Whatever is done now needs to be done by a coalition of countries, not just the U.S. and not just Israel going in and removing the threat (which they will do if no one else does, but it would likely start a war involving several other middle eastern countries). One advantage in Iran is that you'd have widespread support from most Iranians if a coalition went in and supported regime change in a way that did not destroy the country in the process. Obama must be a very good poker player. He played his hand on this latest crisis very shrewdly, lining up Russia and China before even disclosing the problem. You can just imagine how W's administration would have screwed it up.
