From: Hachiroku ハチロク on 26 Jan 2010 19:40 but this group now in Washington has to be the dumbest group since the words "I, James Earl Carter, do solemnly swear..." Who in his right mind raises taxes in a recession? Only a Democrat could even think this way. But it gets better! It seems this bunch is the New Tax Of The Day. Every day I hear they're thinking of a new tax on this, or a new tax on that. Incredible! Three more years. I hope there's something left.
From: ron on 27 Jan 2010 11:57 The news this morning said that the voters in Oregon voted to raise taxes instead of controlling/reducing spending. BUT, they only voted the tax increase on the "rich" - apparently those making over 125k are rich.

Did you agree when republicans said "deficits don't matter" during the 2 bush and the reagan presidencies?

Owing boxcars full of money to the Chinese is something else. Even when Reagan borrowed from the Japanese it wasn't as bad. I think Obungler, Reid and Pelosi have the same calendar on their desks. Instead of a cartoon of the day, or a saying of the day, it has a tax of the day. Every day I hear of a new, exciting tax these Bozos are concocting. There was the tobacco tax, which took effect (no, it's not to discourage tobacco use. It was Politically Correct), the soda pop tax proposal, and now cell phones, which are ALREADY taxed under the FCC taxes. tax, tax, tax, tax. So they can SPEND more? For things the people have shouted out they DON'T want? |
