From: Hachiroku ハチロク on 23 Dec 2009 19:01 The Midwest will endure a real holiday hassle thanks to a major winter storm. Travel will be very dangerous or impossible over portions of the region. Expect snow tonight from the western half of Kansas northward to the Dakotas and eastward to Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will extend from central portions of Kansas northeastward to southeast Nebraska, Iowa, southern Minnesota, southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Christmas Eve, snow will continue from northern Wisconsin and Minnesota westward into the Plains from the Dakotas to Kansas. A wintry mix changing to snow may also move into eastern Kansas, southeast Nebraska and far western Missouri. By Christmas Day, snow and wind will encompass most areas near and west of the Mississippi River. During the course of the event Thursday into Friday, strong winds will make blizzard or near-blizzard conditions possible in the Plains and Upper Midwest. Storm total accumulations of up to a foot or more are expected in portions of the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest. Highs on Christmas Eve will range from the 0s and 10s in the Northern Plain That's almost 1/3 of the country covered in snow...

The K00l-Aid must be strong...
From: ron on 24 Dec 2009 12:02 the warming crowd has the same mentality as the health care bunch - disrupt 250- some million people's healthcare to cover the uninsured then announce its budget neutral, then find the cost is twice what they figured and they're only gonna cover about half the ones they tore the country up over. Koolaid sniffers is right. (I guess I can breathe easy, both versions leave my health insurance like it is as congress gets what I get - I pay 400 of total 1215/month cost) and nobama has fully embraced both of these harebrained schemes. I think 11-2010 gonna be fun, I sure wish they'd get Pelosi and Reid too. -- Merry Christmas Ron
