If you don't want to clean up oil spills then don't ask a company to drill
for oil 7000 feet under the sea and charge that company huge royalties and
fees to do so.

Nobody is suggesting the citizens pay for the full clean up. Only
suggesting that citizens pay for their share of the clean up whether it's 5%
or 55%. And I am certainly going to be avoiding BP based products and
services over their handling of this mess.

If you don't want to have to clean up oil leaks, then don't use oil. Did
you actually think there were not consequences drilling for oil every time
you filled up your automobile?

The latest we hear is that safety alarms were turned off to allow the
men off shift to get some sleep. If this is true, then the buck stops
with the operators, Transocean and Halliburton.
