I can't believe this. And if it is as bad as you say, you have our
sympathy. Canada but be almost catatonic.

It is /definitely/ as bad as I say when it comes to TV.

US TV is illegal in Canada, both to supply and to receive. The only
exception is if a licensed Canadian supplier supplies it. And even then
there are "Canadian Content" rules that essentially mean that any US show
that's presented must be offset somewhere by a Canadian one. There is,
therefore, a huge amount of very good US TV that is simply unavailable
here.

Our federal government is currently considering legislation that will allow
all cops to pull drivers over anytime, anywhere, for any reason or no
reason at all. This is supposed to help the cops catch drunks, but you can
bet the cops will be allowed to use the stops to fish for other stuff they
can charge you with, just like they do right now with DUI spot-checks.

Canadian cops running DUI spot-checks are already allowed to use those
spot-checks as fishing expeditions for anything else they can think of to
nail you with, everything from outdated paperwork to blown light bulbs to
outstanding parking tickets. Our Supreme Court has upheld this abuse of DUI
spot-checks.

Lovely country. Just lovely.

If our nation debt keeps going up as it has, and will continue to go up
under BO, our national defense will be weakened and we will no longer be in
a position to defended Canada any longer.

They will need to start spending billions of their own wealth, and blood, to
finally start defending themselves for a change.

Oh come on. That's pure bullshit and you know it. The only restriction
is the commercials. They get the Canadian commercials unless you get it
directly from the broadcast signal.

More bullshit. Show me *one* news story where this is shown. By the
RCMP. I won't accept provincial police as you say *all* police.

Yeah?
<http://www.media-awareness.ca/english/issues/cultural_policies/canadian_content_rules.cfm>

We don't get the REAL HBO, the REAL Food Network, the REAL Bravo,
ESPN, the History Channel, etc. All because of stupid
Trudeau CanCon.

We lost our DirecTV because of the stupid government.

Canada sucks. Trudeau sucked, and he made Canada suck.

Here's one. ALL cops. ALL across Canada. Happy reading!
<http://network.nationalpost.com/NP/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2010/03/15/national-post-editorial-board-random-breathalyzers-cross-the-line.aspx>

The cops have been allowed to use DUI spot-checks as
fishing-expeditions since the '80s. Ask any cop.

Canada sucks. Big time. Canada is one fucked-up country.
