I've never owned a foreign car and most likely never will. You do have to be a bit cautious as some foreign cars are being sold as American cars, like the Chevrolet Aveo etc.

"domestics" rely heavily on imported componentry. > You do > have to be a bit cautious as some foreign cars are being sold as > American cars, like the Chevrolet Aveo etc. yeah. see above. there's nothing quite like a xenophobe unaware of their reality - they'll even support their political representatives using their tax dollars to export their own jobs. -- nomina rutrum rutrum

I could give 2 shits about what kind of car it is it's the *dirty* politics that's the real culprit here & special interests, business as usual in Washington DC. Especially with a huge stake in Unions & GM (Governement Motors).

I've always been against all those imports from Canada and Mexico that GM, Ford, Chrysler, and to a lesser extent Toyota, have been trying to sell in the U.S.. Give me a U.S. made Ford, Honda, Subara, Hyundai, Toyota, BMW, or Mercedes, or Kia over those imports from Canada or Mexico any day.
