A disclaimer ========= Vehicles are not purchase just due to one factor. There are many factors that go into a purchase decision because motorized vehicles are complex machines. details ====== Quality is fuzzy word that I mainly associated with manufacturing precision. However, I know that the decision to purchase and own a vehichle is based on more than quality - other factors like cost, design and performance are important too. Nothing handles on a curvy highway like a Porsche 911. No current hybrid or conventional production car gets better gas mileage than the 2010 Prius. Certain vehicles like the Honda Element SUV have unique functionals Other vehicles depend on unique designs like the VW bug and the BMW mini-cooper. Also because motorized vehicles require regular maintance - access to affordable, dependable, and quality service is also an important factor in a motorized vehicle purchase. conclusion ========= Marketing and surveys are at best a fuzzy indicator but to borrow an old Toyota TV commerical tagline... OOOh what a feeling!!!! :-)
