1. As a general rule, there has to be other vehicles on the road.
2. You have no clue (about anything generally) about the sight-lines that
would expose or obscure other vehicles not on the road, but approaching.
3. Why should I explain anything to you? Give 3 examples in your own words,

Yes. "on the road", or in the space you're about to occupy. One moment,
nobody there. The next moment, somebody there.

There's also the matter of mechanical failure, especially when maintenance
is done by a half-wit like the Hack.
